主讲人简介：

    Dr. Phillips is Editor-in-Chief of Elsevier’s international journal Technological Forecasting & Social Change, which Reuters ranks as #4 of 55 planning and development journals, and #25 of 119 business journals. Dr. FRED PHILLIPS is the 2017 winner of the Kondratieff Medal, awarded by the Russian Academy of Sciences. He joined Yuan Ze University in 2015 as Distinguished Professor. Earlier he was Professor and Program Chair at State University of New York at Stony Brook; Vice Provost for Research at Alliant International University; Associate Dean at Maastricht School of Management (Netherlands); and Dean of Management at Oregon Graduate Institute of Science & Technology. He is also a Senior Fellow (and formerly Research Director) at the IC2 Institute of the University of Texas at Austin, and a PICMET Fellow.

内容简介：

    This lecture describes the state of current research in engineering and technology management journals, ending with recommendations for those new to scientific publication. Specificly, Prof. Phillips will describe experiences as an Editor-in-Chief of Technological Forecasting and Social Change. The journal is increasingly looking for submissions well-within its scope. Prof.Phillips will give some examples of representative articles which are highly cited in the journal, or which have been particularly and recently of interest for online communities. Technological Forecasting and Social Change is an Elsevier journal and therefore has processes which are fairly similar across the Elsevier journals. This lecture will describe an end-to-end process of article preparation, submission, review and potential revision and publication.
