On December 7th,the “Inculcation of SME(the third phase)” themed “The process of pursuing the academic career in Japan” was successfully held in Room 123 of the Administrative Building in Liangxiang Campus.The lecturer,Biying Yu,expanded her speech into three main aspects--Japanese culture,the overseas school life and the academic researches there.

First of all,after asked for the undergraduates’ impressions towards Japan,Dr. Yu went through deeply into the Japanese national characteristics,including the seasonal changes within the country,as well as the impacts of Japanese culture,which stimulated students’ keen interest towards the discourse.

Then,took the open university campus as an example and combined with her own experience of studying abroad,Dr. Yu revealed the profound connotation of Japanese universities.She also told the students to pay special attention to the details during the daily life by using the example of the brand-new facilities in the campus,which they have already been used for more than ten years.

Next,Dr. Yu talked about her own learning experience and career development,including the study life in Beijing Jiaotong University,several achievements she made in the economic field,the current work she participates in Beijing Institute Of Technology and so on.The experience she mentioned raised students’ admire towards her and inspired their spirits toward study.

Finally,Dr. Yu encouraged the students to continue to explore their study areas and highlighted the importance of acquisition,thinking and accumulation，which would facilitate them to build a solid foundation for their near future.
