Introduction

In order to promote the optimization of the graduate education structure adjustment, as a whole to promote professional degree education reform and development, to speed up the high-level practical talents cultivation, to create high quality brand of professional degree education, relying on the former EMBA Education Center, the MBA Education Center, the Engineering Master Education Center and the EDP Education Center in School of Management and Economics (SME), with the integrated optimization of MBA, EMBA, MEM, MPAcc, and EDP high quality education resources, as well as excellent management mechanism of the Centers, the Professional Degree Education Center of SME was established in December 2016. The Center, adhering to the professional degree management idea of "Unified leadership, Overall planning, Innovative service", strengthens the service consciousness and innovative management mode, seizes the new opportunities of professional degree graduate education, and promotes the comprehensive and rapid development of professional degree graduate education of SME.

1984 BIT was authorized by the State Council as one of the first 22 universities to establish graduate schools in China, and one of the first 7 universities with the right to draw lines independently

1993 BIT was authorized by the Ministry of Education as one of the first 26 universities to award MBA degree in China

1996 BIT was authorized by the Ministry of Education as one of the first batch of universities to award Engineering master degree in China

2001 BIT was authorized by the Ministry of Education as one of the first 30 universities to award EMBA degree in China

2004 BIT was authorized by the Ministry of Education as one of the first batch of universities to award Engineering master degree specialized in Project Management in China

2011 BIT was authorized by the Ministry of Education as one of the first batch of universities to award Master of Engineering Management degree in China

2011 MBA programme passed the Association of MBAs(AMBA) accreditation in 2011, and re-accreditation in 2014

2015 SME passed European Quality Improvement System (Equis) accreditation in 2015, and re-accreditation in 2018

2016 MBA programme passed Chinese Advanced Management Education Accreditation (CAMEA)

2017 BIT became one of the first batch of universities in China with mutual recognition of credits between Engineering Management Professional Degree and IPMP (International Project Manager Professional), and was awarded IPMP Talent Training Base

2018 Professional Degree in Business Administration of SME was awarded A in National Professional Degree Level Evaluation

2019 SME passed AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation
