Associate Professor Mi Zhifu, University College London, England, was invited to visit

On the afternoon of March 30,2021, Associate Professor Mi Zhifu, University College London, was invited to the Energy and Environmental Policy Research Center to do an academic report entitled "The sharing economy promotes sustainable societies". The report was presided over by Teacher Yuan Xiaochen of the Center. The teachers and students of the Center participated in the report.

Dr. Zhifu Mi is an associate professor and doctoral supervisor at University College London, and a senior visiting scholar at the London School of Economics. He has long devoted himself to the research on the economics of climate change.The results were published in journals such as "Science Progress", "Natural Energy", "Natural Food", and "Natural Sustainability", selected by Forbes Europe's "30 Under 30" elite list and Clarivate Analytics "Highly Cited Scientist", won the China Economics Excellent Doctoral Thesis Award, China's 100 most influential international academic papers. He has been invited to participate in the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development and the United Nations Climate Change Conference for many times. He is currently the co-editor of the SSCI journal Structural Change and Economic Dynamics.

Miss Mi first shared the results of his previously published research work.The report proposes that while the sharing economy provides a potential path to a sustainable society, there is often conflict between corporate profits and social well-being in the field, suggesting resolution through cooperation between businesses and government, and also putting more specific implementation policy recommendations.

After the report, Mr.Mi started from his own experience, shared his personal experience with the students in scientific research, study, employment and other aspects, and provided valuable experience.During the period, the students respectively exchanged views with Mr.Mi on the research methods, doctoral topic selection, employment direction and other issues.
