SME Professional Degree Education Joint Centre public lecture #10—— Optimization of Telemedicine Resource Scheduling

On Sunday, July 19, at 9 a.m., Li Jinlin, a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology, was invited to bring a wonderful lecture entitled "Telemedicine Resource Scheduling Optimization" to the students through the webcast. Hundreds of students participated in the study online.

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19, the medical facilities have been overloaded and the normal medical services have been seriously affected. Combined with traffic control, community isolation and other factors, patients face many difficulties in seeking medical treatment. Against this background, as a new medical service mode in the era of "Internet +", telemedicine broke through the limitation of region and time, and played a great role in this epidemic situation. Many medical institutions in China have the resources of top medical experts, use the completed remote consultation facilities, participate in the guidance of first-line treatment in time, and many experts answer questions online, which helps to improve the first-line treatment effect. However, with the increasing demand, how to optimize telemedicine resource scheduling has become a problem to be solved. Starting from the characteristics of telemedicine, Mr. Li analyzed the characteristics and needs of telemedicine patients, the characteristics and service time of telemedicine patients, the appointment scheduling of telemedicine patients and the scheduling of telemedicine experts and doctors. In order to better understand the actual situation of telemedicine application in China, teacher Li's team also visited the National Telemedicine Center on a special trip, and established different data models after sorting out the primary data in order to reach a more scientific and reasonable conclusion of optimization. The short two-hour lecture not only made the students understand the relevant information of telemedicine in our country, but also had a comprehensive and detailed understanding of how to complete a scientific research project systematically.
