Associate Professor Rong Pan of Arizona State University was invited to Beijing Institute of Technology for academic report

  Associate Professor Rong Pan of Arizona State University was invited to give an academic report entitled “Some Big Data Issues in Reliability Engineering” to the teachers and students of the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology on June 12th. Professor Cui Lirong, Li Suyi, Zhang Nan, Shen Meng, Chen Hongshu and more than 20 doctoral students attended the report.The report will be hosted by Professor Zhao Xian.

  Associate Professor Rong Pan focused on reliability research based on big data, taking a chemical coating material degradation data, solar panel environmental test data, shale gas mining equipment maintenance data as an example, from the perspective of model construction and data analysis, explain how to deal with reliability-related data to get valuable conclusions.In addition, Associate Professor Rong Pan explored the impact of data volume, data type and data accuracy on statistical models and inferences, and analyzed the history and future trends of reliability big data development.After the academic report, the teachers and classmates who participated in the meeting actively exchanged relevant questions with Associate Professor Rong Pan.
