Zhao Kang, University of Iowa Business School, gives talk

At the invitation of the School of Management and Economics, Professor Zhao Kang from the University of Iowa Business School visited our institute and made a presentation entitled “From Machine Learning to Simulations — Data Science Approaches for Social and Supply Chain Networks” at 10 am on June 11, 2018 in the main building conference room 216. The report was hosted by Professor Yan Zhijun, and a number of teachers and students of the school attended the report.

The Internet is everywhere in our daily lives. The availability of large-scale network data makes it possible to study new computing methods for these networks. This presentation will introduce Professor Zhao Kang's new research, using machine learning and simulation techniques to study social networks and supply chain networks. In this lecture, Professor Zhao Kang introduced research on link prediction and behavior detection in online social networks, and related research on interrupt propagation in supply chain networks.
