Professor Feng Zhu from Harvard University in the United States was invited to give a report

On November 5th, 2020, [Mingli Lecture Hall, 2020 Issue 25] I have the honor to invite Professor Feng Zhu from the Department of Business Administration of Harvard University Business School to bring you an academic report entitled "Why Some Platforms Thrive and Others Don't". The report adopts the online live broadcast of Tencent meeting. Nearly 400 people including some leaders, teachers, masters, doctors and postgraduates of the School of Management and Economics attended this lecture. The host is Professor Li Guo from the Department of Technology and Strategic Management of the School of Management and Economics.

In the report, Professor Zhu Feng focused on the factor mechanisms that affect the development prospects of platform companies and related innovative theories. Specifically, it provides an in-depth and thorough explanation of the competitiveness of platform companies from five aspects: platform network effect, regional clustering effect, multi-platform attribution effect, disintermediation risk, and network connection effect.

After the report, Professor Zhu Feng had a lively discussion and exchange with the teachers and students participating in the meeting. Everyone was deeply inspired. The report received a enthusiastic response and received unanimous praise from the teachers and students!
