On the afternoon of November 23, [the 7th Issue of 2021], we were honored to invite Associate Professor Cao Feng from Hunan University to deliver an academic report titled "Emerging Independent Directors and Stock price Crash Risk". Due to the impact of the epidemic, this report was conducted online. Teachers, masters and doctoral students from the School of Management and Economics attended this report.

Cao Feng teacher's report on the board of directors of the lack of work experience, for the first time for dong alone post rookie of the independent director (rookie dong alone), analyze the rookie alone may show whether dong due to less independence, experience lack of supervision is invalid, will build a reputation due to the more incentives and more independence and supervision more effective. The report starts from the stock price crash risk which has a significant impact on the capital market and investors and can comprehensively reflect the supervision effect of the new independent directors, and finds that the new independent directors aggravate the stock price crash risk. About Associate Professor Cao Feng:

Associate Professor, doctoral supervisor, Director of Financial Management Department, School of Business Administration, Hunan University. Currently, he is a national accounting leading (reserve) talent of the Ministry of Finance, a member of the Chinese Association of Commercial Accounting, a member of the Academic Committee of "Financial Research", a deputy secretary-general of Hunan Province Business Administration Association, a member of Hunan Province System Engineering and Management Society, and a "Yuelu Scholar" of Hunan University.
