【Mingli Lecture 2023, Issue 9】 Professor Niu Baozhuang of South China University of Technology was invited to give an academic report

At 2:00 p.m. on March 22, 2023, Professor Niu Baozhuang of South China University of Technology was invited to deliver an academic report entitled "Carbon reduction and emission reduction strategies considering" government supply chain "collaborative decision-making" in the 317 conference room of the main building.

Professor Niu Baozhuang constructs a competitive game model around the research theme of carbon reduction and emission reduction policies between the "government supply chain" and corporate response coordination to address three imbalanced issues: 1. imbalanced decision-making motivation; 2. Technological imbalance; 3. The specific work methods are imbalanced. Professor Niu Baozhuang conducted a series of research on the above three issues: 1 Consider the coordination strategy of remanufacturing competitive supply chain with subsidies for parts recycling and finished product carbon tax; 2. Multinational corporations' offshore production and factory transfer planning strategies considering the challenge of carbon sequestration; 3. Consider the competitive distribution strategy of Alternative fuel vehicle and fuel vehicles regulated by the EU "carbon neutral". Professor Niu Baozhuang provided in-depth explanations, which enabled the attending teachers and classmates to have a deep understanding of his research. During the explanation process, our faculty and students actively asked questions, and Professor Niu Baozhuang answered them one by one. The report received a warm response and received unanimous praise from teachers and students.

Niu Baozhuang, professor of the School of Business Administration of South China University of Technology, winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, member of the CPPCC Guangdong Provincial Committee, senior associate editor of UTD journal Production and Operations Management, is mainly engaged in research in cross-border logistics supply chain management, competition and cooperation game optimization, smart financial technology and other fields, Now, he is presiding over the major project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, "Basic Theory of Supply chain resilience and Security". The research achievements have won more than 10 important national and provincial awards, including the Second Prize for Excellent Scientific Research Achievements in Chinese Universities (Humanities and Social Sciences) by the Ministry of Education, the Youth Award for Management Studies in China, and the First Prize for Excellent Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences in Guangdong Province. He was selected into the first list of Chinese high contribution scholars selected by the Alumni association of China. Approved for Guangdong Province's graduate demonstration course and ideological and political demonstration course 'Supply Chain Finance'. The doctoral students cultivated were employed as teachers in famous overseas universities for the first time in South China.
