On December 24, 2021, we were honored to invite Dr. Peng Xinliang, Secretary General of Public Procurement Branch of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, to deliver a report entitled "Modern Supply Chain Concept and Supply Chain National Strategy". The report was held in the 216 Conference room of the main building. More than 10 teachers and students from the Department of Management Engineering and graduate students attended the lecture. The moderator was Associate Professor Zhang Yuli from the Department of Management Engineering of the School of Management and Economics.

In this report, Dr. Peng Xinliang introduced the concept of modern supply chain and the national strategy of supply chain. Dr. Peng first introduced the concept and policy background of modern supply chain, pointing out that modern supply chain has become a national strategy. Then Dr. Peng Xinliang analyzes the current challenges in the development of supply chain in our country, and elaborates our national supply chain strategy, and points out the importance of our national supply chain strategy. The report was warmly received by teachers and students.

Brief Introduction of Secretary-General Peng Xinliang:

Peng Xinliang, Secretary General of the Public Procurement Branch of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, Executive Deputy Director of the Professional Committee of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, holds a doctor of Law from Renmin University of China. He is also a visiting professor of the School of Public Administration of the University of International Business and Economics, and secretary general of the Presidium of the National Annual Conference on Supply Chain Management. He has participated in the subject research and group standard preparation in the field of public procurement and supply chain management of China Finance and Finance Office, Ministry of Commerce, China IOT and other ministries and commissions.
