Brief description of report.

Integrated Assessment Models (IAMs) are used to explore global and regional pathways for mitigating climate change and achieving the climate goals of the Paris Agreement. This presentation describes recent advances in integrated assessment modelling and its close links to scenario-based approaches to analysing climate policy issues. Recent advances include improving the integration of mitigation and climate impacts, integrating climate change mitigation pathways into the broader sustainable development context, assessing the feasibility of mitigation pathways, and developing climate change scenarios to analyse climate-related financial risks.
