About the speaker:

Wang Zhen, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Energy Economics Research Institute of CNOOC, Associate of the Energy Society of the United Kingdom, Doctor of Finance at Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, Visiting Fulbright Scholar in the United States, chief expert of major research projects in Philosophy and Social Science Research of the Ministry of Education, and professor and doctoral supervisor of China University of Petroleum (Beijing). He served as deputy director of Policy Research Office of China National Petroleum Corporation Limited, chief expert of national high-end think tank of China Petroleum Research Institute of Economics and Technology, Dean of Business Administration School of China University of Petroleum (Beijing), Executive vice president of China Energy Strategy Research Institute. At present, he is also a member of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges and deputy director of the Energy Economics Committee of China Energy Research Society. He has published more than 150 academic papers in domestic and foreign first-class academic journals such as Energy, Management World, Financial Research, World Economy and Politics, and more than 40 articles in domestic mainstream media such as People's Daily and Economic Daily. He has won the first prize of Soft Science Outstanding achievements of the National Energy Administration, the second prize of Beijing Philosophy and Social Sciences, the outstanding thesis of the ninth Global Finance Annual Meeting, and the outstanding doctoral thesis of Peking University. His research interests include energy economy and green finance, transnational investment and mergers and acquisitions.
