Report Content Description:

Given the long production advance period of products, companies have to decide on their inventory before demand is determined, but can delay pricing decisions until after demand is determined. This paper is based on a supply chain model composed of manufacturers and retailers, which can observe an imperfect demand signal, but manufacturers can influence the signal quality by disclosing product information.Through the establishment of a game model to investigate the influence of interaction between demand uncertainty and signal quality on the decision-making of manufacturers and retailers, combined with the market coverage effect and market clearing effect, the manufacturer’s information disclosure preferences and the information’s value to retailers are analyzed.
