On the afternoon of January 13, 2017, Professor Michael Pollitt of the University of Cambridge, UK, visited and presented an academic report entitled "Restructuring the Chinese Electricity Supply Industry: Lessons from the European Experience". A number of teachers and students attended the report. The report was hosted by Associate Professor Wang Ke.
Professor Michael Pollitt is currently a professor of business economics at the University of Cambridge, UK, deputy director of the Energy Policy Research Center (EPRG), and a researcher and professor at the Sidney Sussex School of Economics and Management.
In this report, Professor Pollitt pointed out many problems in China's electricity market, and put forward targeted solutions to the current situation.
