Professor Mark Harvey, ESSEX University, Visits

  May 17, 2016, in the morning, Professor Mark Harvey from the Economic Sociology and Innovation Research Center, ESSEX University, the UK, was invited to visit the School of Economics and Management, and made an academic report entitled "The sociogenesis of climate change: Eating more meat and the China-Brazil connection" . A number of teachers and students from our school attended the meeting. The report was hosted by teacher Liu Wenling.
  In the report, Professor Mark Harvey started from Neo-Polanyian Theory, surrounding food - Energy - Climate Change trilemma, compared the differences in food consumption and related institutional policies between China and Brazil, and gave interpretation and discussion on their greenhouse emissions impact.
