President Ding Hui, Beijing Research Institute of Science and Technology

  In the evening of December 3, Ding Hui, President of Beijing Research Institute of Science and Technology was invited by PhD 2010 to give a lecture entitled "Technology innovation and talent development". SME 2010 MA, PhD; MBA and some undergraduate students of more than 70 people attended the lecture. A dozen of researchers from Beijing Urban Systems Research Center also participated. This lecture is one of series of lectures "Life sail - Academic Career Planning", and also a prelude to the Graduate School’s academic moral education.
President Ding Hui talked about "Innovation, Cloud computing and the Internet of Things". He started from the concept of innovation and innovation system, encouraged the audience to use brainstorm and "one minute definition method" to capture the inspiration of thinking, and gave unique definition and elaboration of vocabularies like quality, safety, innovation, management, and projects. He believed that innovation is not only from books, and more from the moment of whimsy.

 

  President Ding pointed out that information technology is profoundly changing the world, and the arrival of an intelligent society is the trend. With his unique perspective and constant wonderful metaphor, President Ding brought the audience to a new era of cloud computing and internet of things.

  Professor Ding Hui, President of Beijing Research Institute of Science and Technology, Researcher; receives State Council special allowance; expert of Safe Production Theory Research Team of State Production Safety Supervision Administration; executive director of the Acoustical Society of China; vice chairman of China Occupational Safety and Health Association; member of Beijing Natural Science Foundation Committee; vice chairman of Beijing Information Industry Association; executive director of China Association for Instrumental Analysis; member of China Institute of Environmental Physics Environmental Science Committee; adjunct professor of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and Capital University of Economics.
  1992-1993: Visiting Scholar, National Technical University of Denmark ,2002.3-2002.9: strategic management and innovation training, Huazhong University of Science and the University of Warwick. He was project leader and main participant in more than 30 research and development projects, published more than 70 articles, received 6 patents (including 1 patent for invention). In the past five years, he won 11 provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress awards.
