October 27, 2013, the School of Management and Economics, the School of Chemistry, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and other eight schools organized freshman Games on liangxiang campus. Guests invited to attend the opening ceremony included Teacher Xu Xin, Deputy Director of the Office of Student Affairs, Professor Yan Zhi-Jun, Assistant Dean of the School of Management and Economics, Xiao Kun, vice dean of the School of Basic Education, Jiang Yan, vice dean of the School of Physics, XU Gui Bao, vice dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Sun Fei, vice dean of the School of Art and Design. 
The School of Management and Economics won the male team champion and took second place female team. Ultimately, the team scored first place and proudly held the golden trophy.
