Assistant Professor David Zhu, California State University, Talks on IT Outsourcing


 
June 8, 2013 at 4:00 pm, Assistant Professor David Zhu, California State University, was invited to visit our school and made a presentation entitled "The impact of IT Outsourcing on Firm Performance" at conference room 418.  Professor Chen SongSheng, Head of the Department of Accounting, hosted the lecture. Teachers, doctoral, graduate and some undergraduate students from the Accounting Department attended the meeting.


Assistant Professor David Zhu discussed IT outsourcing impact on business performance, and also gave a comprehensive review of the entire paper writing process from the ideas to the papers published. When it comes to data collection process, he stressed that the empirical data is the premise of research articles, and hand-collected data is of a very high value and characteristics. He shared his learning and writing experience, and encouraged the students not to be discouraged on the academic road.  Finally, he said the field of financial accounting is very popular in the U.S. and has broad development prospects, encouraged students to position to the global opportunities.
