March 28, 2013, in the morning, Professor Philip Andrews-Speed, the Energy Research Institute of the National University of Singapore visited the Beijing Institute of Technology Energy and Environmental Policy Research Center, and made a report entitled "Potential institutional constraints to shale gas and coal-bed methane production in East Asia ". The report was hosted by Associate Professor Zhang YueJun. More than 30 teachers and students of the School of Management and Economics attended the meeting.
Professor Andrews-Speed focused on the shale gas and coalbed methane development and utilization in some countries and regions, especially shale gas development advantages and constraints in the United States, the European Union, Indonesia, China, and Vietnam.
