March 5, 2013, in order to promote consumer goods e-commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Advancement Department organized "Excellent consumer goods e-commerce platform development workshop” at Beijing Institute of Technology to discuss consumer goods e-commerce progress and development ideas.

Consumer goods are closely related to people's livelihood and national development goals. In this workshop, the selected typical corporate experience shows that the use of e-commerce and other means of information technology can achieve the integration of logistics, capital flow and information flow, not only achieve cost reductions and profit growth, but also conducive to the integration of the industry chain. Leaders and expert participants fully endorsed the development of consumer e-commerce platform, and discussed the next stage work.
