The Second Dean’s Scholarship (Ph.D.) Award Ceremony of the School of Management and Economics Held Successfully

  On November 19, 2019, the second Dean’s Scholarship (Ph.D. student) award ceremony of the School of Management and Economics was solemnly held. Wang Zhaohua, secretary of the Party Committee and dean of the School of Management and Economics, Li Jinlin, Director of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, vice dean Dong Peiwu, vice dean Yan Zhijun, Peng Mingxue, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Xia Enjun, Professor of responsibility for Business Administration, heads of each department, doctoral supervisors and graduate students attended the award ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by vice dean Tang Baojun.

  

  With the symphony Canon, the awards ceremony kicked off. Dean Wang Zhaohua warmly congratulated the award-winning doctoral students, encouraged graduate students to make higher breakthroughs in scientific research and thesis quality, and hoped that doctoral supervisors can create a better and more comfortable scientific research environment for graduate students.

  Professor Cui Lirong was also invited to make a report entitled "how to do a good job in scientific research by graduate students". Mr. Cui introduced the topic selection, the development of research core work, writing and submission, property right protection, and so on, emphasizing the need to avoid academic misconducts.

  

  The "Dean's Scholarship (PhD students)" is the highest honor award set up by the School to the excellent doctoral students. It is launched by the former dean of the School of Management and Economics, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice-President Wei Yiming, to promote the development of the research work of the School, and to encourage the research and innovation of the doctoral and graduate students. Through this award ceremony, the graduate students are encouraged to continue to explore the innovation and make efforts to achieve more and better scientific research results.
