November 23, 2012, 2:00-4:30 pm, Professor Hu Weishan, Chung Yuan Christian University, Taiwan, made a wonderful presentation entitled "Corporate Ethics and Social Responsibility from the Viewpoint of Financial Accounting " in Main Building Room 418. The report lasted two-and-a-half hours. From three instances of violation of corporate ethics (Taiwan Tong Lung Metal case, the Enron case, the Rebar Group case), to remind financial accounting personnel how to implement public supervision and inspection system and to explore how the accounting and auditing department establish a system of integrity and self-regulation. After his speech, Professor Hu warmly answered the various questions raised by the students.
