The 6th China Summer Workshop on Information Management


 
  June 30-July 1, the 6th China Summer Workshop on Information Management (CSWIM 2012), jointly organized by the Beijing Institute of Technology School of Management and Economics and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County Campus, was held at the International Education Exchange Center of Beijing Institute of Technology. The meeting was co-chaired by Professor Zhi-Jun Yan of the School of Management and Economics and Professor Zhang Dongsong of University of Maryland, Baltimore County Campus, and funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, Beijing Institute of Technology and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County Campus.




  Nearly 100 experts and scholars from more than 50 schools or research institutes including the University of Pennsylvania, Georgia Institute of Technology University, George Washington University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, National University of Singapore, University of Zurich, Tsinghua University, Nanjing University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, and Tianjin University attended the seminar.




  The workshop lasted two days consisting of two keynote speeches, 2 panel discussions, and 6 parallel sessions.
Introduction of CSWIM :
  CSWIM (China Summer Workshop on Information Management), initiated in 2007, is held once a year. Fudan University, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Sun Yat-sen University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Harbin University hosted the first five annual meetings. The annual event has attracted many Chinese scholars of China and the United States to participate and become an important meeting on information management in China and the United States.
