On March 7th, Beijing Institute of Technology's School of Management and Economics held a “Youth Model” selection debate.This activity，combined with the opening of moral education, deepens the ideological and political education of college students to help students better formulate their personal development plans. The class teachers and counselors attended the event and served as guest judge. The 2018 freshmen attended the "Youth Role Model" candidate's debate.
In the early stage of the selection, the school Organizational Review Committee conducted preliminary examinations, and selected candidates for recommendation. A total of 27 candidates from 10 model categories were recommendated to enter the final review.The school conducted a wide-scale publicity on the role of the models by means of online voting. The results of the online voting were used for the final selection. There are a total of 19 candidates selected for the Youth Model.
Through this activity, the School of Management and Economics promoted a set of role models of practicing socialist core values and taking the lead in spreading positive energy.The power of the example is endless.
