Recently, the School of Management and Economics officially launched a project funded by the State Key Basic Research Development Program (973 Program) "the Combined effects of climate change on socio-economic system in a global perspective and adaptation strategies (Project number: 2012CB955704).
The project main task is to establish a comprehensive assessment tool to analyze the impact of global climate change on socio-economic system, to design climate change mitigation and adaptation scenarios, to simulate the combined effects of climate change on socio-economic system, and to analyze the priority sequence of adaptation and mitigation strategies and climate change adaptation strategies.
Project Leader Professor Wei Yiming has received a budget notice from the Ministry of National Science and Technology. (NST [2012] No. 144). This is the second special funding received from the National Key Basic Research Development Program by Professor Wei Yiming and his team in the field of energy economics and climate policy since 2009.
