Professor Jennifer Wu Tucker, University of Florida, Gives Talk

At the invitation of the School of Management and Economics, Professor Jennifer Wu Tucker of University of Florida came to our school for an exchange visit. On June 21, 2018, at 2:30 pm, in Room 429 of the main building, he gave a speech entitled "Does management earning forcasts matter to private loan markets?” The accounting department teachers and all doctoral students attended the report.

Before the speech, Dean Wei Yiming had a cordial conversation with Dean Professor Wei Yiming. Professor Wei welcomed Professor Wu to return to his alma mater for exchange visits and support the construction and development of the discipline.

Early research examined the role of management earnings forecasts in equity markets. Professor Wu examined the impact of management forecasts on the private loan market, assuming it promotes information exchange between lenders and borrowers and reduces loan differentials. The test provides an indirect evidence of the private loan market.
