On the afternoon of April 14, 2017, Associate Professor Zhang Min, School of Business, Renmin University of China, was invited to visit the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology and gave a reprot to 2016 MPAcc entitled "Topic selection and methods of empirical accounting research".

    Professor Zhang Min introduced the meaning of empirical research, and explained the commonly used methods in academic papers, characteristics of high quality papers, common problems in paper writing and the corresponding solutions. Professor Zhang Min gave a detailed account of the writing skills of the title, abstract, introduction, literature review, hypothesis, research design, empirical results report and reference literature. The content of the lecture was simple and concise so that the students have a more comprehensive understanding of the methods of empirical accounting research.
