Alumni Lecture Hall Session 33:A discussion on the multilateral development bank and the current international financial market successfully

On May 28,2022, the Alumni Lecture Hall of the School of Management and Economics, Session 33: A discussion on the Multilateral Development Bank and the current international financial market were successfully held online. This lecture invited Dai Yingzhuo, 2005 alumni, the financial officer of the World Bank Group International Finance Corporation to attend the meeting and share the theme. Dai Yingzhuo’s mentor professor Li Jinlin, Professor Hong Jin, partner Xu Jinping of BeiLiRen Investment Co., Ltd., Vice dean Guan Hong, deputy director of alumni work Office Zhao Yu and more than 200 alumni attended the event. The event was hosted by Alumni Li Jia.

On behalf of the School, Guan Hong extended his welcome to the teachers, students and alumni who participated in the event, and thanked Dai Yingzhuo and the alumni at home and abroad for their support and attention to the development of the School.

Professor Li Jinlin said that the School attaches great importance to the work of alumni, and this event provides opportunities for alumni and teachers and students to meet online and communicate quietly.

In view of the current hotspot of the world financial development status and development trend, Dai Yingzhuo talked about multilateral development bank and the current international financial market from "the development of the world bank and international financial companies", "the federal reserve to raise interest rates and the US economic development trend", "geopolitical influence on the market" and "China faces international challenges" in a comprehensive and detailed way. When talking about the challenges facing China's economy in the future, he said that continuing to enhance the confidence of market players and optimizing the population structure is the core driving force for maintaining China's rapid economic development. Although the economy still fluctuates in the short term, the overall Chinese economy enjoys a sound momentum and the fundamentals of long-term growth will not change.

During the interactive exchange session, the alumni and Dai Yingzhuo had in-depth discussions and full exchanges on issues such as "the outlet of globalization in the post-epidemic era, the development trend of multilateral finance, and how to deal with trade protectionism". Everyone said they benefited a lot.
