The EQUIS re-certification has successfully completed the on-site inspection

From November 21 to 23,2023, the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) conducted a three-day on-site inspection of the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology. The panel, chaired by Professor Andrea Sianesi, chairman of the board of directors of the Polytechnic University of Milano, Italy, includes Professor Metka Tekavcic, Dean of the School of Economics and Business of the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, Mr.Matt Bolger, Vice President of the University of Waikato, New Zealand, and Mr.Anton van Rossum, former executive of McKinsey and Credit Suisse.

On the third day of the on-site certification, the expert group gave feedback on the preliminary evaluation opinions of the on-site certification to the school leaders, multiple functional departments’ heads and backbone teachers. The school leadership listened carefully to the feedback of the expert group. The expert group spoke highly of the achievements of the school in the past three years, and put forward suggestions for the further development. On behalf of the university, Li Zhenjian, vice president of Beijing Institute of Technology, thanked the certification expert group for the three-day evaluation work. He said that the university would conduct a careful analysis and in-depth discussion on the feedback of the experts, and fully support the further improvement and promotion of the university. Wang Zhaohua, dean of the School of Management and Economics, thanked the panel for their recognition of the school's achievements and suggestions for their future development, and said that the school would take the panel's valuable comments and suggestions seriously. Li Zhenjian, vice president of Beijing Institute of Technology, relevant leaders of Academic Affairs Department, Graduate School, Scientific Research Institute, Human Resources Department, Planning and Finance Department, International Exchange and Cooperation Department, Asset and Laboratory Management Office, and the leaders of the school attended the feedback meeting.
