The seminar of proposal of major philosophy and social science research projects of the Ministry of Education was held smoothly

On March 24,2022, the proposal seminar of the "Study on the low-carbon coal reduction path of 'carbon neutrality' in 2060" of philosophy and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education was held in Beijing Institute of Technology. Chinese Academy of Engineering professor Wu Qiang, the National Development and Reform Commission energy research institute researcher Dai Yande, Professor Zhang Xiliang, Director of the Institute of Energy and Environmental Economics, Tsinghua University, Professor Guo Zhonghua, director of the Policy Research Department of the China National Coal Association, Professor Shi Minjun, director of the Xiongan Development Center of Zhejiang University, Professor Wu Libo, School of Economics, Fudan University, Researcher Liu Yu, Institute of Science and Technology Strategy Consulting, Chinese Academy of Sciences and other experts were invited to attend the meeting.Professor Qin Zhihui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Beijing Institute of Technology, and Professor Yan Zhijun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management and Economics attended the meeting.More than 20 members of the research group, including Professor Wang Zhaohua, chief scientist of the project, and researcher Li Weiming from the Development Research Center of the State Council, attended the meeting.The conference was presided over by Professor Ran Lun, dean of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences, Research Institute of Beijing Institute of Technology.

The experts attending the meeting had a heated discussion on the content of the opening report, believing that the project topic is of great theoretical and application value, and the research content is systematic and comprehensive, which can provide theoretical basis and support for the country to formulate low-cost coal reduction policies for carbon neutral, and put forward constructive suggestions on the follow-up research of the project.
