Professor Yu Biying wins the 17th China Youth Science and Technology Award

Recently, Yu Biying, a professor and deputy director of the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research, won the 17th China Youth Science and Technology Award.

The China Youth Science and Technology Award, proposed by Qian Xuesen and other older generation of scientists, is an award for young science and technology workers across the country. It aims to train a group of young academic and technological leaders who enter the forefront of science and technology; and reward young scientific and technological talents who have made outstanding achievements in national economic development, social progress and scientific and technological innovation. China Youth Science and Technology Award is selected every two years, and no more than 100 awards are awarded. Among them, China Youth Science and Technology Award Special Award is selected among the winners, with no more than 10 winners. Since its establishment in 1987, about 1,500 young scientists have won the awards.
