On January 6, [Mingli Lecture Hall, 2021, 3rd Issue] had the honor to invite Professor Yi-Zheng Ku from Fu Ren Catholic University in Taiwan to bring you the academic report titled "Are You Worried About Personalized Service? An Empirical Study of the Personalization-Privacy Paradox" . Professor Yan Zhijun of the college presided over the meeting and extended a warm welcome to Teacher Gu.

In the report, Mr.Gu first introduced the research background: the recommendation system and the common recommendation system algorithm, which led to the research question: when the recommendation system needs the user's relevant information, whether the user chooses to provide their own relevant information.Next, Mr.Gu introduced the specific structure of the article: taking privacy computing theory as the theoretical basis, which contains three models of risk and reward.Finally, Professor Gu introduced his preliminary findings in detail, and analyzed and discussed the relevant problems in the experimental design and the direction to be studied in the future.

After the report, Mr.Gu had a heated discussion and exchange with the teachers and students. The response received unanimous praise from the teachers and students.

Professor, Yi-Zheng Gu, Department of Enterprise Management.He graduated from Sun Yat-sen University majoring in information management. From 2009 to 2010, visited the Georgia Institute of Technology School of Management. His research interests include recommendation systems, information system adoption and dissemination, and service design.His work were published in well-known journals such asComputers in Human Behavior, Decision Support Systems (DSS), Information & Management (I&M), International Journal of Medical Informatics, Journal of Electronic Commerce Research, Journal of Management Information Systems (JMIS).
