May 17, 2016, Prof. Mark Harvey, the University of Essex, UK, was invited to visit our school and made a report entitled "The sociogenesis of climate change: Eating more meat and the China-Brazil connection". A number of teachers and students from the CEEP attended the lecture. The report was hosted by Assistant Professor Liu Wenling.
Professor Mark Harvey is currently a professor of sociology at the University of Essex, and serves as director of the Center for Economic and Social Innovation (CRESI) under the Department of Sociology. His latest research analyzed crisis induced by social factors rather than human behaviors, and compared the situation in Brazil, China, India, and four European countries.
