March 29, 2016, in the morning, France Telecom Management School (TELECOM Ecole de Management) Professor Pierre Vialle visited the School of Management and Economics and gave a presentation entitled "Trends in the Digtal Economy".
ICT technology is constantly evolving, new technologies and new applications are integrated into all walks of life, and social economic operation is constantly remodeling, forming a new economic form - digital economy. The digital economy has been valued by the world's major governments and industries. As a separate economic issues, the digital economy in 2016 will be the first time appear in the "G20 Summit". Professor Vialle illustrated the digital economy trends from three aspects: the market characteristics, the regional division, and regulatory and industrial policy. He gave analysis of the scale of the industry and the distribution of profits from a high degree of consistency to the process of differentiation, and under this large context the world's major ICT companies’ competitive strategy. He introduced EU countries take a series of measures to promote regional and international competitiveness of the ICT industry, and analyzed the opportunities and challenges China is facing.
