Aiming at fruiting better mutual understanding and more efficient academic exchanges between PRC and Taiwan, China, School of Management and Economics, BIT and the College of Business of Chung Yuan Christian University has reached a framework agreement of cooperation, in which academic dialogues, exchange of faculty and students, joint symposium, medium- and short-term cooperative researches, etc. are involved.
Chung Yuan Christian University (abbr. CYCU), located in Zhongli City, Taoyuan County, Taiwan, was founded in 1955 as Chung Yuan Institute of Technology, and changed to current name in 1980. Now with a staff count of six thousand and student body of fourteen thousand, CYCU is a university of corporate feature and follows a development strategy of balanced teaching, research and assistance. There are now seven colleges in CYCU: of sciences, of engineering, of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, of law, of business, of designing, and of liberal arts & education.
The College of Business of CYCU is consisted of 5 departments, including business administration, information management, financial accounting and banking. 5 research institutes are also affiliated to the College. Basically the college is run parallel with the School of Business and Economics, BIT.
The College and the School have maintained a time-long cooperation on institution level. With the newly signed framework agreement, hand-joining of the two sides in teaching and research will be tighter, road from School of Management and Economics leading to the outside academic world will be wider, and our networking into the global system will also be benefited.
