Assistant Professor SUN Li, the University of Missouri, Visits

 June 24, 2014, Assistant Professor SUN Li, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Department Bloch of the School of Management, the University of Missouri, visited our school for academic exchanges. Dr. Sun reported his paper "The opportunity co-creation in micro-credit". In the report, Dr. Sun introduced the importance of small and micro loans in improving the existing financial system and service. Dr. Sun took opportunity co-creation as theoretical basis and made assumptions on the various factors that affect the small and micro lending market interest rates. His data analysis found: interest rate is inversely associated with the number of stakeholders; 90 days delinquency rate is inversely related to interest rate; Meanwhile, the data also show in the area of judicial system being imperfect, women have not had the same advantages as men in terms of lending interest rates. The study also proposed important solutions on how to tackle the poverty problem through small micro-loans.
