AMBA re-certification launch meeting

On September 5,2024, the School of Management of Beijing Institute of Technology held the AMBA certification launch meeting. Mr.Andrew Main Wilson, CEO of AMBA & BGA, Professor Steef van de Velde, Chairman of the AMBA & BGA International Advisory Committee and former Dean of Rotterdam Business School, Professor Wang Zhongming, Member of the International Advisory Committee of AMBA & BGA International Advisory Committee and former Dean of the School of Management of Zhejiang University, And Mr.George Iliev, International Accreditation Director of AMB A & BGA, Tang Baojun, Dean of the School of Management, Yan Zhijun, Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Dean Liu Hao, Che Huiquan, Guan Hong, Zhang Xiang, Chen Xiang, Ye Xuanting, Assistant Dean Deng Jianwei and relevant personnel of the Certification Center attended the meeting.

Dean Tang Baojun introduced the achievements of the school in recent years from the aspects of international cooperation, global ranking and discipline construction, emphasizing the significance of AMBA international certification for enhancing the international competitiveness of the school, promoting the career development of students, expanding international exchanges and cooperation, and promoting the high-quality development of the school. On behalf of the school, she welcomed the on-site evaluation of the certification expert committee members in December, hoping to promote the discipline reform and innovation development of the school through the certification.

Mr.Andrew Main Wilson, CEO of AMBA & BGA, spoke highly of the domestic reputation and international influence of Beijing Institute of Technology, and introduced the rapid development of AMBA & BGA international certification since its establishment. He expressed his desire to further strengthen the close ties and cooperation with the Beijing Institute of Technology. Professor Steef van de Velde and Professor Wang Zhongming both said that they would take the recactification of the School of Management seriously and expected to put forward external suggestions for the development of the School through the re-certification review.

The School of Management will take AMBA re-certification as the starting point, adhere to international education, continue to improve the quality of education, cultivate more outstanding management talents with international vision and competitiveness, and make greater and greater contributions to the society.
