June 6, 2014, Professor CHOU Siaw Kiang and Dr. Su Bin, National University of Singapore, visited the School of Management and Economics, and gave a report entitled "Energy Efficient and Environmentally Friendly Transportation" . The report was hosted by Associate Professor Liao Hua. Dean Professor Wei Yiming, Associate Dean Professor Wang Zhaohua, and some teachers and students attended the lecture.

Professor Chou first introduced energy use and emissions of the transport sector in Singapore, then discussed the future development trend of electric vehicles in Singapore on technical and policy aspects. Through calculation, under the high-efficient and low-carbon scenario, the future transport sector will reduce 40% of fuel consumption over the baseline.
