September 25th, 2012 at 3:30 pm, Professor Zuo-jun Max Shen from the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research Department at the University of California, Berkeley made a presentation entitled "Nonhomogeneous Supply Chain Design under Supply Chain Disruptions" at conference room 418 in the main building. Dean Professor Wei Yiming, Professor Zhang Qiang, head of the Management Science and Engineering Department, and other teachers and students listened to the report. Associate Dean Professor Wang Zhaohua presided over the report.
Professor Shen first introduced the research background and applications of the nonhomogeneous design of supply chain. On this basis, taking the automobile industry as a case study, he introduced and explained a specific mathematical model, and shared with the audience his valuable theoretical discovery.
Professor Zuo-jun Max Shen Resume:
Now Professor of the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research Department, the University of California, Berkeley. Recieved Ph.D. in industrial engineering and management science from Northwestern University in 2000. The main research directions are the design and management of the supply chain, the design and analysis of optimization algorithms, and energy and smart grid management.
