Dr. Jia Guma, UNESCO Beijing office, Gives Presentation

  June 29, 2012, Dr. Jia Guma, Head of Natural Sciences, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Beijing Office, was invited to give a report entitled "UNESCO plans and progress in addressing climate change". Miss Wang Bing from UNESCO Beijing Office, SME teachers as well as postdoctoral fellows and graduate students from the Science and Technology Evaluation and Innovation Management Research Center attended the meeting.


 
  Dr. Jia Guma first introduced UNESCO’s work in recent years in the field of climate change, the plans of the organization, the key areas of concern as well as the implementation. He further analyzed the causes of climate change, signs and severe impacts, and the importance of the international science and technology cooperation on climate change as well as the existing obstacles and development strategies.
