Associate Professor Shi Ju of the School of Economics of Peking University Gives Report

  On January 26, 2018, at the invitation of the Research Center for System Risk Management, Associate Professor Shi Ju of the School of Economics of Peking University made an academic report entitled “Methods for Studying Medical Insurance” in the conference room 418 of the main building. The report was chaired by Prof. Li Jinlin, and more than 30 faculty members and students attended the report meeting.

  Associate Professor Shi Ju combined her recent experience in the reform of the medical expenses forecasting and payment system for residents in China, the impact of new rural cooperative medical care in China on the use of medical services, the impact of basic drug systems on the use of medical services, and the impact of U.S. medical reforms on residents’ behaviors. The research work introduced the research results and research trends of China's residents' medical cost forecasting and payment system, and proposed the theory of grading diagnosis and treatment based on the actual situation of tertiary diagnosis and treatment in China, combined with the application of RD, DID and other methods. Methodological issues and suggestions for promoting China's tertiary diagnosis and treatment reform were discussed. Afterwards, the teachers and students attending the report meeting and Associate Professor Shi Ju had a lively discussion on related issues.
