On the morning of September 6, 2017, Professor Adriana Tiron-Tudor, Department of Accounting, University of Baby-Bolyai, which is rated number two in Romania, was invited to give an academic report entitled "Assessing the legitimacy of HEIs' contributions to society" at the conference room of Room 429. Entire teachers and doctoral students and some graduate students of the accounting department attended the meeting. Professor Tiron discussed how to assess the contribution of colleges and universities to society, how to measure the contribution through literature review and building theoretical model, and how to improve the quality of education in colleges and universities. He pointed out that the rankings did not improve the quality of higher education. After the speech, the speaker exchanged with the accounting department teachers and students on accounting teaching, research and student training, China-EU accounting differences and other aspects. The feasibility of joint applying for EU projects was also discussed.
