Associate Prof. Cui LiXin Reports:"The Application of Service Blueprint principles and methods in the Management of Catering Service Process - the Case of Beijing Banquet Process Management"

  May 09, 2017, the School of Management and Economics 2017 Case Report Series held its fourth report in conference room 418 of the main building. The keynote speaker was associate professor Cui liXin from the Department of Management Science and logistics. He presented a report entitled: "The Application of Service Blueprint principles and methods in the Management of Catering Service Process - the Case of Beijing Banquet Process Management". he report was hosted by professor liu pingqing, deputy dean of the School of Management and Economics. More than 20 teachers and doctoral students participated in the report.

  

  Associate Professor Cui LiXin, carried a deep follow-up study into the Beijing famous catering business - Beijing Banquet. Combined with his practice in teaching “service blueprint theory" in the course of “Operations Management", he introduced how Beijing Banquet adopts effective approaches in scheduling process, housekeeper confirming process, reception process, in room dining process, dining service specifications, billing, seeing guests out, and follow-up process. This case provided an intuitive sample for students to understand the service blueprint theory and methods in operation management.
