On Friday, September 24,2021, the workshop on the work progress and content of the "Invisible Champion" special research hosted by Professor Pei Rong was successfully carried out online. Participants attending the meeting were Mr.Lei Fengyun, a scientific and technological Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Austria, Ms.Zhang Yiyan, a scientific and technological diplomat, Professor Wang Yong, Hooverhaton University, Dr. Yang Li, the Austrian School of Economic Promotion, Associate Professor Wang Huaiyu, Dr. Wang Gangbo and MBA students who participated in the project research.

At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Pei Rong made a simple review of the source and background of the "invisible champion" special research project, and summarized the current work process.Up to now, the special research team has completed the data screening and success factor collection of Austrian "invisible champion" enterprises. With the joint efforts of Dr. Chen Qiming and others, 256 Chinese enterprises have been selected. The basic content of the "invisible champion" research report has been basically completed.

Professor Wang Yong gave important opinions and suggestions for the content that needs to be improved in the next step.He said, the next step to be solved is to summarize the success factors of 256 Chinese companies, and compare it with the Austrian invisible champion. At the same time, it is pointed out that the establishment of the evaluation indicators should make more reference to the indicators of the United Nations for sustainable development, and shorten the comparability of the indicators as close as possible.

Counsellor Lei Fengyun, Zhang yi-yan and Dr Yang Li reported Austrian researchers’ latest invisible champion research results, especially professor Simon’s recent works of Austria and Germany "invisible champion" analysis and business characteristics and corporate culture, providing a rich reference content, advice and a lot of inspiration.
